I sincerely believe that the movies that resonate with me have a point of view – something to say and contribute. They tend to be intelligently written (no matter what the genre), and they also tend to contribute or inspire discussion. And yes – they tend to have a socially conscious soul. Great movies also have the potential of providing an intense emotional and transormational experience, whether through humor or drama that inspires tears or fear. As I continue to evolve my body of cinematic work, my hopes are that an equally relevant and resonant voice evolves with it, and that it contributes to the audience’s entertainment experience.
The projects listed on this page represent a start in the evolution of my body of work as writer-director-producer. So I hope that you find a kindred and creative spirit in my evolving body of work and I look forward to engaging you as fans of great cinema.

+How to Cope with Suburban Stress
A feature film project adaptation of the novel of the same title by David Galef. The story brings together the disturbing and the satirical in a fractured tale of suburban angst and ennui, which revolves around the marital difficulties of Michael Eisner, a psychiatrist who constantly squabbles with his domineering executive wife, Jane, at the expense of the mental health of their prepubescent son, Alex. The story intersects that of Ted Sacks, a budding child pedophile who loses his job as a data recovery specialist and slips further into the seedy chatroom-centric realm of would-be child molesters. He soon grows tired of chatting about molesting “boyz” and begins stalking them in Alex’s neighborhood.

A feature film about an American executive of an Israeli software company who turns to her warrior-like and Intelligence training in order to extricate her son from the hands of the IRGC (Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps) in exchange for key information that will enable Iran to complete development of a nuclear weapon as a perceived counterbalance to the growing threat of military attacks by Israel and the United States. The project is a contemporary female-centric dramatic-action-thriller in the vain of TAKEN, THE JASON BOURNE series, THE GREEN ZONE and MAN ON FIRE in that these stories deal with geo-political intrigue and high personal and global stakes. These are fast-paced films commonly referred to as elevated (or character-driven) action films.

+The Naked Escape Artist
The naked escape artist is the story of Jonathan, a young man in his late twenties, who feels too much, says too much, wants too much. He finds himself different than other men, sensual, sensitized and in-depth in a way they are not, and is constantly seeking to escape his own difference, to conform, to fit in. But cannot. The naked escape artist finds no solace in the usual distractions – money, marriage, reputation. He is a sensualist, a pioneer of feeling. His inner calling is to live, to love, to experience the fullness of passion in every aspect of his life.
Writers: Joe Bardin and Jeff Low

+Fallen Hero (short)
Fallen Hero examines the relationship between Daniel, a father in the throws of a divorce, and his seven year old son, Jerry, in the aftermath of a school parking lot altercation in which Jerry witnesses his father brutally beaten by another man (emasculated, if you will) in front of his classmates. The story deals with the disillusionment of the Jerry’s hero worship for his father and how he tragically deals with it when his classmates tease him. Fallen Hero also examines the delicate psychology involved in pre-adolescent males as it relates to their growing awareness of what it means to be a man.
